By starting the Kasagala cultivation project aimed at the international market, the opportunity to bring foreign exchange to this country will arise and it will also be possible to strengthen the country’s economy. There is a huge demand for bell pepper in the world market and a high price can be fetched for it. The customers who propose this project can get more benefits and this will give them the opportunity to strengthen their economy by spreading Bell Bepper cultivation among the rural people. I pray that all those who are working on the project will have courage and strength to carry out this project successfully.

Prof. Laxman Rohana Piyadasa

Lecturer in University of Kelaniya

Emeritus Professor Laxman Rohana Piyadasa is a planner scholar in the Þeld of Print Media studies.He started his role as a journalist in a very young age and became a very popular investigative journalist in the Þeld of journalism

Academic Qualifications
He obtained his BA and MA in Mass Communication form the University of Kelaniya .He was able to win a scholarship in Moscow State University in Russia and completed his PhD in 1993

Academic Qualifications & Carrier
He wrote number of publications related to his researches. As well as he last produced series of documentaries and Þllers for the television and radio media. He held several administrative positions in the university and he worked as a consultant in several national and International arenas. Emeritus professor Laxman Rohana Piyadasa carried out some pioneer researches in the study of Development communications & political communication.
